Artist Statement:
With a passion for color and a love of light, I create landscapes that
transcend reality. I combine impressions from actual scenes with modified
sketches to make personal images that highlights the atmospheric aspect of
nature. Although nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, my artwork
is an interpretation, not representation of nature.
Technique:
I work with a variety of media to create my paintings.
This involves oil paint, oil pastels and solvents.
The surface is a coarse canvas that enhances the overall texture of
The finished artwork.
After the work is complete the painting is coated with spray varnish
To make it possible to frame the artwork without glass.
